A Golf Cart Tour of Town Square: Amenities at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound

Amenity lists all start to read the same after a while. So instead of listing ours, Nancy Glaze and I took a golf cart around Town Square in August and pointed at things. Here is what is actually there, in the order we passed it.
Why We Filmed It From a Golf Cart
Because that is how you would actually get around. It is the running theme of the whole tour: you only need one car here. The golf cart handles the rest — including running the dog over to the dog park, dropping them off and picking them up later without ever getting in a vehicle.
You will also notice how much golf cart parking rings the inner Town Square. That tells you something about how people move around here.
Fitness, Pools and Pickleball
The fitness centre has a three-lane lap pool on one side. There is a separate indoor swimming pool where a lot of the aquatic aerobics classes run — and water volleyball, which Nancy reports is genuinely fun. Chair yoga and regular yoga run in the same building, which matters more than people expect when mobility is on your mind.
The pickleball courts were quiet when we filmed — it was a warm August afternoon. Come back once the sun drops and it is a different scene. Some of the advanced players here are, frankly, excellent.

The Wood Shop Surprises People
It is brand new, state of the art, and stocked with the latest woodworking tools. If you have a hobby that needs a proper workshop, this is usually the moment on the tour where someone stops walking.
Where Things Actually Happen
The Hemisphere Dancer — a multi-purpose room and theatre. Comedy shows, bingo, trivia. We were headed to trivia later that same day
The Last Mango Theater — another venue in the square
The band shell — with a dance floor right in the middle. It is empty on a Tuesday afternoon. It is not empty Friday or Saturday night
Bar & Chill and the Overlook Bar — the restaurant and bar, open every day
The Coconut Telegraph Center — home to the HOA office, so this is where any HOA business gets handled
Live Music Every Single Day
Noon to three, every day, with a different performer depending on when you turn up. Go on a Thursday and it will be someone other than who you heard on Monday. This is one of those details that does not make it onto a brochure but changes what an ordinary afternoon feels like.

The Farmers Market Is Residents Only
Once a month in Town Square, and this one genuinely is different: it is private, for residents only, and it is not run for profit. It exists for the people who live here.
The vendors are artisans — beef, soap, vegetables, decorative pieces. Some of the makers run classes, and their work is genuinely good. I have been threatening to sign up for one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there live music at Latitude Margaritaville Watersound?
Yes — every day from 12:00 to 3:00, with a different performer depending on the day.
Do I need a car if I live here?
Most households here find one car is plenty. The golf cart covers Town Square, the amenity buildings and the dog park, and there is golf cart parking throughout.
Is the farmers market open to the public?
No. It runs monthly in Town Square and is private to residents, and it is not operated for profit.
Where is the HOA office?
In the Coconut Telegraph Center, on Town Square.
Can I try the restaurant if I am just visiting to tour?
Buyers touring the sales centre, the models and the amenities get to visit the restaurant and taste the food as part of the visit.
Come See It on a Friday Night
A Tuesday afternoon tour shows you the buildings. A Friday evening shows you the community. If you are planning a visit, tell us when you are coming and we will steer you toward the right day. Get in touch, or subscribe to the channel for the rest of the series. You can also browse Minto's Watersound information for builder details.
